Meeting Premanandji Maharaj!

प्रेमानंद जी महाराज की क्या है अंतिम इच्छा? भक्तों को बताई मन की बात

Continuing from here, all three of us (papa, sister, and I) reached the ‘Keli Kunj ashram’ around 4.45 am the next day. My sister and I were taken inside a basement room full of other participants. Premanandji Maharaj’s satsang was being telecast live and his voice reverberating in every corner of the space. His karya-sevaks were managing the sea of people all around the ashram, while doing ‘naam jap’ with a counter.

The atmosphere was filled with divine energy as if the God himself has descended on earth. I wrap myself in this feeling often to escape it from leaving my memory.

After 20 minutes or so, our names were called and we were assigned to different groups. I was taken up the stairs to a terrace and briefed about basic do’s and don’ts. Then, we were made to form a queue and taken to the room where Ekantik takes place.

As I entered the room, he was sitting there with his head down. It was the moment. The moment. It was like seeing God, the God. A scene straight from a mythological TV serial where a saint sits under a tree with people sitting all around. I saw him and paid my regards in my heart. I thanked ‘Radha Rani‘ for this beautiful blessing.

Then started the Q & A. To my surprise, I heard my name, “Deepti Kaushik, from Punjab. My heart sank. I mumbled ;Radhe Radhe and the camera’s gaze shifted on me. I just centered myself and kept saying Radha Radha.

(This is me on this blessed day.)

Maharaj ji asked whose question is this, saw me and answered my questions. I was overwhelmed. Then, he said, did you understand? “Samajh paa rahe hai aap? I nodded. And that was it. My divine experience.

The Q & A lasted 10 minutes in all with three others questions being asked. On way out, I saw my sister sitting for the next group. Her question was also selected to be asked.

Once free, all three of us left for our hotel, and then Gurgaon, with hearts so full that only tears can sum up the gratitude for this grace and blessing.
