‘S’ factor & My Self-Love Story!

Being the love month that February is, Self-Love will have all my love and energy this month. What better way to celebrate love than loving that one person who deserves to be loved unconditionally—-the SELF. While never forgetting, every other Self is special and deserves to be accorded same special love as your Self.

Having set these boundaries clear, let me march on to my self-love story in which I found something interesting. I found four ‘S’ in my story, which are:

The first ‘S’—– Shahrukh Khan ——as mentioned in the last post too. I leave it up to you to decide whether Shahrukh Khan is synonymous with Self-Love or not even though my verdict is final and locked. He is the epitome of self-love and among the few things in life that still make the heart flutter, even in middle age. He finds mention in this post again, reinforcing the magic of love he brought on screen and life. He opening his arms in yellow mustard fields in DDLJ —and passionately dancing in DTPH—had me swooning over eons ago, and even now at the mention of it.

The second ‘S’ ——-Solitude——– pretty much the name of my blog —-that stems from my deep love for solitude. This blog has stayed with me for 11 years and ‘solitude’ ever since I remember. It’s in solitude I find and reclaim my SELF. It helps me silence the noise inside to welcome the sounds outside. Few hours of solitude every day is my basic human need unlike many others. Denied for longer duration, I get restless and irritable. For a peaceful, beaming and happy me, I claim my happy space so that I am in good space with others. I cherish my solitude and place this need high on pedestal as my optimum functioning depends on it. Initially I dismissed it as a passing phase but the hunger for it is as strong as ever and shows no signs of subsiding. Click here for more on my solitude cravings.

The next two ‘S’ will share in next post. Both of them are intertwined and used as one phrase rather than two single words.
